Private Doctor

Private Doctor is the health care alternative focused on providing premium quality patient care with emphasis on personal attention and health. Private Doctors get to know patients as people, not just as lists of symptoms. Fewer patients give the Doctor an opportunity to stay abreast of medical advances that will surely come to bear on the welfare of his patients. Advances in modern medicine have contributed to our growing population. On average, an internist in the US is responsible for 3,000 patients. Primary care providers find it, therefore, increasingly difficult to afford patients enough time to get to know them and to keep up with scientific progress. Increasing the patient-doctor involvement improves the Doctor's familiarity with his patients. Having doctors to spend more time with each patient provides a higher level of care than is normally available. The Private Doctors with Concierge Medicine deliver the highest standard of care. Concierge Doctors care for fewer patients than in a conventional practice, ranging from 100 patients per doctor to 1,000, instead of the 3,000 to 4,000 that the average Doctor now sees every year. All generally claim to be accessible via cell phone or email at any time of day or night or offer some other "special" service above and beyond the "normal" care provided. The annual fees vary widely, from $600 to $5,000 per year for an individual, with the lower annual fees being in addition to the usual fees for each service and the higher annual fees including most services.

Film Industry

The film industry consists of the technological and commercial institutions of filmmaking: i.e. film production companies, film studios, cinematography, film production, screenwriting, pre-production, postproduction, film festivals, distribution, actors, film directors and other film personnel. Though the expense involved in making movies almost immediately led film production to concentrate under the auspices of standing production companies, advances in affordable film making equipment, and the expansion of opportunities to acquire investment capital from outside the film industry itself, allow independent film production to thrive. Al Christie for David Horsley founded the first movie studio in the Hollywood area, Nestor Studios, in 1911 in an old building on the northwest corner of Sunset Boulevard and Gower Street. In the same year, another fifteen independents settled in Hollywood. Hollywood became strongly associated with the film industry so much so that the word "Hollywood" referred to the entire industry. In 1913, Cecil B. DeMille, in association with Jesse Lasky, leased a barn with studio facilities on the southeast corner of Selma and Vine Streets from the Burns and Revier Studio and Laboratory, which they established there. DeMille then began production of The Squaw Man (1914). The building became the Lasky-DeMille Barn and is now the location of the Hollywood Heritage Museum. In 1917, the Charlie Chaplin Studios, located on the northeast corner of La Brea and De Longpre Avenues just south of Sunset Boulevard, became popular. It has had many owners since 1953, including Kling Studios, which housed production for the Superman TV series with George Reeves; Red Skelton, who used the sound stages for his CBS TV variety show; and CBS, who filmed the TV series Perry Mason with Raymond Burr there. A&M Records belonging to Herb Alpert and Tijuana Brass Enterprises have also owned it. It is currently The Jim Henson Company, home of the Muppets. In 1969, The Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Board named the studio a historical cultural monument. The United States has the oldest film industry, and Los Angeles, California, is the primary nexus of the U.S. film industry.

Topical Bactericidals

Widely available over-the-counter (OTC) bactericidal products containing benzoyl peroxide treat mild to moderate acne. Other anti-bacterials are triclosan, or chlorhexidine gluconate, but these are often less effective despite having fewer side effects.

Malibu Colony was one of the first areas inhabited after Malibu was opened to the public in 1929 and it is one of Malibu's most famous districts. It is located along Malibu Road, westward of the Pacific Coast Highway, on the opposite shore of the Malibu Lagoon State Beach and adjacent to the Malibu Bluffs Park former state park. Initially May Rindge kept control of Malibu Beach, allowing a few wealthy Hollywood stars to build vacation homes. Nearly a decade later, money woes forced Rindge to sell the land, and the Colony was born. Long known as a popular private enclave for wealthy celebrities, the Malibu Colony today is a gated community, with multi-million dollar homes on small lots. Passages Malibu Addicted The term addiction is also sometimes applied to compulsions that are not substance-related, such as compulsive shopping, sex addiction/compulsive sex, overeating, problem gambling, exercise/sport and computer addiction. Passages Malibu Addiction Doctors administer medications to manage the process of detoxification in an inpatient or outpatient setting. Detoxification precedes a formal assessment and referral to subsequent drug addiction treatment. Passages Malibu Addictions At alcohol rehab centers treatment teams provide a supportive and stable environment that fulfills and leads alcoholics to recovery, both physically and emotionally. At alcohol rehab, alcoholics can expect to be cared for with the utmost respect and kindness. Passages Malibu Alcholic Many alcoholics are simply not ready to stop drinking until everything is lost, including jobs, families, relationships and loved ones. Many addicts believe there is a method to control or stop drinking without professional help. Passages Malibu Alcohol During alcohol treatment patients can expect an initial evaluation and assessment of alcohol abuse. The rehabilitation addiction team collaborates continually on the progress of the patient to qualify the treatment program as we unveil the underlying causes of alcoholism and any other coexisting maladies that may exist. Passages Malibu Alcoholic Not being able to control the number of drinks one intakes or not being able to quit drinking altogether or participating in binge drinking often are very common occurrences among alcoholics. Many alcoholics attempt methods to control drinking, but are unsuccessful without professional addiction help and treatment. Passages Malibu Alcoholics Alcohol abuse is a symptom of deep underlying issues or problems that the afflicted person copes with by self medicating. Effective long term recovery is achievable by an alcohol rehab that treats the primary causes of alcoholism and expels the body of toxins by holistic methods and detoxification. Minimal Scar

Minimal scar surgery uses modern techniques to reduce scars and avoid visible scarring. Minimal-incision or endoscopic surgery is performed using a tiny fiber optic lens inserted through half-inch incisions placed inconspicuously in your skin. The camera lens is connected to a video screen, allowing for visualization of the surgery. The surgeon makes small incisions for the insertion of tiny scalpels, scissors and retractors. The surgeon performs the procedure while viewing the television monitor and manipulating the tiny instruments externally. Minimal-incision surgery is particularly useful with younger patients, where the removal of excess skin is not required. A minimal-incision facial surgery for patients in our region to make the face look as young as they feel. A forehead lift or brow lift can smooth out your wrinkles and correct drooping brows and heavy lids to provide a younger, friendlier appearance. A mid-facelift or cheek lift can remove facial wrinkles and lift sagging cheeks, while a neck lift can tighten loose, sagging skin under your chin. Benelli made a major contribution to the reduction of breast lift scars. He eliminated the anchor and lollipop scar patterns used for breast lift and breast reduction. At first he developed a new skin procedure, he called the "round block," that he followed with two glandular techniques which were quite innovative. His technique leaves a scar around the areola only, coined the "doughnut pattern."
